WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT A distinguished panel of minimum 5
judges scores candidates in the following areas of competition: §
Personal Interview
– to determine personality, culture, intellect, and qualifications to
hold the national title §
Fashionwear – to determine sense of style and teen spirit, along
with harmony of figure §
Evening Gown –
to determine poise, beauty and grace |

There is NO swimsuit or talent competition. |

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE |
||
|
English
and Spanish are the official languages of the MISS TEEN US LATINA™ Pageant. It is NOT
a requirement for candidates to speak Spanish, although it is encouraged.
Personal interviews with judges will be conducted in the language the
delegate feels most comfortable speaking. |
||
|
REQUIREMENTS FOR NATIONAL PARTICIPATION |
||
|
§
Be of a minimum age of 14 by September 1st and
under 17 years of age by December 31, 2008 §
Be of Latin American or Iberian origin by
birth or ancestry and residing legally in the United States §
Reside continuously in the US for a minimum of
six (6) months prior to September 1, 2008 §
Be single, born female, never have been
married or given birth to a child, nor been a parent §
Have an attractive appearance and personality,
with weight proportionate to height, and a good reputation |

STATE REPRESENTATION |

|
Eligibility for state titles is determined by
meeting at least one of the following criteria, along with all other
minimum eligibility requirements for pageant participants: |

Only ONE Title Awarded per State or Heritage (Example: "Miss Texas Latina" exclusively, NO "Miss North, West, Central
or South Texas Latina" or similar representations.) |

HERITAGE REPRESENTATION |

Eligibility for at-large national heritage titles
is determined by meeting at least one of the following criteria, along
with all other minimum eligibility requirements for pageant participants: |

of representation § Have a parent/grandparent born in the country of representation All decisions as to eligibility shall be determined solely
by the Miss Latin America Organization. |
