I just wanted to thank the organization for everything it taught me. After competing in Miss Teen US Latina 2006, I learned even more about myself.

I am now representing Latinas at Northwestern University, where there is only a 6% Latino/Hispanic community. I am currently finishing off my first year here in the School of Communications and as President and Secretary of two of the Hispanic/Latino groups on campus. My service to these groups has given me the opportunity to support the Latinos/Hispanics on campus and to encourage a Latino Studies Program at our school; currently we don't have one. Thankfully, I was accepted to this wonderful school because of my efforts and grades in high school.

I am motivated to continue my education with the humble thought that I am like every other Latina in the world; always working hard to make her dreams come true. I honestly owe a lot to the Miss Latina Organization.

I wanted to say "thank you" to you and your Organization for the remarkable experience I was able to live as Miss Teen US Latina 2003. I was very sad that my year was gone so fast, but as I think about it now I will always be Miss Teen US Latina 2003 and the first. Even though the year is over, my memories will be in my heart and mind for ever.

I was also very lucky to have won two titles in the same year. Miss Teen Florida Latina 2003 and Miss Teen US Latina 2003. I am very lucky that I have that experience that will always remind me that I should continue to have high expectations for myself.

My goal is to always succeed in everything I do and having been Miss Teen Florida Latina and Miss Teen US Latina has encouraged me to always want to succeed in every aspect of my life.

I shall always remember the girls and the great places I was able to visit during my time... besides "I have great pictures that I could brag about through the years."
